Mr. Dovev Lewinsohn – Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Dovev Lewinsohn is a business professional with a deep understanding of water resource management coupled with hi-tech and security expertise. He is General Manager of Hydromatic Ltd. (a subsidiary of Plastro Irrigation Systems), an international enterprise that manufactures and markets irrigation equipment. Mr. Lewinsohn also has extensive experience in the security field. As a lieutenant colonel in a prestigious IDF division, he was in charge of an elite unit and played a leading role in the development, integration and management of advanced security tactics.

A former employee of Comverse (1997-1999) - one of Israel's leading hi-tech companies, Mr. Lewinsohn was part of the company's Operations Planning and Control Division. Mr. Lewinsohn holds a B.Sc in Engineering and Industrial Management from Tel Aviv University and an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from Bar Ilan University.

Dr. Nirit Ulitzur – Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Before founding the company in 2001, Nirit spent over 15 years in academic research. She received BS.c (with distinction) and MS.c (with distinction) degrees from the Faculty of Biology at the Technion Institute, Haifa. After concluding her Ph.D thesis (with distinction) at the Department of Genetics in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, she performed post doctoral studies in the Department of Biochemistry at Stanford's Medical School.

Professor Shimon Ulitzur – Chief Scientist

CheckLight's scientific development team is led by Prof. (Emeritus) Shimon Ulitzur, who has researched luminous bacteria for over 35 years with more than 80 scientific publications on basic and applied aspects of bacterial bioluminescence. He co-founded two biotech companies, Biolume Ltd and Virolume Ltd, in the mid 80's and early 90's, respectively. Biolume focused on developing a rapid bioluminescence-based test for microbial pathogens detection in food, and Virolume was established to generate a novel and rapid test for detecting the AIDS virus. In addition, Dr Ulitzur served as the scientific advisor of numerous global biotech companies. While working with Microbics (later named, Azur Environmental) he developed the bioluminescence-based tests for water toxicity :Mutatox test and Microtox-chronic test.

Mr. Oded Gilboa - Sales and Marketing Manager

With over 28 years of experience in international business and management including: water, agriculture, general industry and Do-It-Yourself (DIY). Oded re-located his family for three years for his role as a water management consultant for the Government of Jamaica and spent five years in Singapore as Regional Manager of Asia for Amiad Filtration Systems.
At ELGO Irrigation, Oded held the position of VP Sales & Marketing and several executive marketing positions at Amiad Filtration Systems.
Oded holds a Degree in Engineering (B.Sc.) with a focus on Water & Soil and a Certificate in Marketing for Managers from the “Technion” - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel

Mr. Nir Hertzman - VP Operations

Nir Hertzman has 15 years of experience in operations, seven during military service and eight more in industry. Prior to CheckLight, Nir worked in various industries in the medical, communication, military and semiconductor fields, including Lumenis and Tower Semiconductor.
He holds an MBA degree in Business Management from Haifa University, a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology, and a practical engineer diploma from Bosmat, Israel's leading technical high school.
